When you see this card, I'm still on vacation in Greece, pre-posting is a great thing!

Our Tuesday challenge at the SCACD design team this week is to make a card with the colors red, white and blue. It's the 4th of July soon, and the Americans have their Independence day to celebrate! I must say that using these colors brings feelings and thoughts about our Independence day celebrations over here in Norway, on the 17th of May. We have the same colors in our flag, and we use them a lot on the 17th of May.

Well, on my card I used the lovely image Follow Your Heart from Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design, the Hearts and Hugs Collection. The Petaloo Dazzlers combined with punched flowers was enough embellishments on this card.

Greece - here we come!!!

Finally it's vacation time! We're leaving for Santorini in the afternoon today! We're going island hopping as usual, and every year we have to stop at Amorgos and Antiparos to visit our Greek friends.

I have made a card and pre-posted it to show on Tuesday 30th, nice if you'll stop by and have a look then!

So, for two weeks now I'll be off line - and it's actually OK!

Bye, bye - or as they say in Greece: Yassou!

TIOT #24 ~ Emilia

A new Tuesday and a new challenge over at Susana's design team, make a summer card and use transparency/acetate. Well, that's really a challenge, the acetate part, I think I've used it a couple of times before...
On my card today I used the cute Emilia from Anki's Sweethearts Series 2 for SCACD, cut her out with a Nestabilities die. For the transparency part of the challenge I used butterflies from I Brake For Stamps, stamped with embossing ink and put embossing powder on it, heated it with my heat gun, then cut them out. Put some stickles on the roses and butterfly wings, added Kaisercraft Rhinestones on the butterflies and in a corner of the card.

Endelig fikk jeg laget et kort til en utfordring på Sukkersött bloggen igjen, det er en stund siden forrige gang... Denne uken skal det være blomster på kortene, og jeg har valgt et motiv med masse blomster, Alexa fra Susana's Custom Art & Card Design, fargelagt med Prismacolor blyanter, teksten er også fra SCACD.

Finally I was able to make a card for the Sugar Sweet blog again, it's been a while... This week we are to use flowers on our cards, and I chose an image with lots of flowers, Alexa by Susana's Custom Art & Card Design, colored with Prismacolor pencils, the sentiment is also by SCACD.

TIOT #23 ~ Rebecka

Try it out Tuesday with a fab sketch this week! Thanks Suzanne for the inspiring sketch!
I used the super cute image Rebecka from Anki's Sweethearts Series 2 for SCACD. I colored with Prismacolor pencils and cut it out with Nestabilities dies. The pink flower is Prima's Dandies, and the pearls are by Kaisercraft.

Anki's Sweethearts Release Day ~ Cathrine

Today the new Anki's Sweethearts are available in the SCACD shop!
On my card for today I've used the sweet Cathrine, look at her cute little kittens!

I colored with Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is one of the new Susanaments, also available today. I embellished with some Kaisercraft Pearls, and some cute heart buttons with Scrappers Floss.

More new Anki's Sweethearts!

Here's a new card with one of the oh so sweet images from our own talented Anki! This is Victoria, a princess, perhaps Anki got her inspiration from Sweden's crown princess Victoria?
Tomorrow, Friday 12th the new Anki's Sweethearts Series 2 will be available on SCACD.

I made a stair step accordion fold card for this lovely image. I got my drawing pen out again and made a simple castle, and the crown for my froggy prince. I colored with Prismacolor pencils.
The Petaloo flowers suited this card very nicely, added some sparkle to it.

The sentiment is a Susanament, I don't know if it's for the frog prince chasing his dream of the princess, or if it's Victoria dreaming of prince Charming in the shape of a frog - who needs to be kissed...?

This super cute bunny is called Fluffy, and I colored him with Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is also a new stamp, there are 10 sentiments all in all, Susanaments Series 2.

Try It Out Tuesday #22 ~ Father's Day

♥

For this week's TIOT challenge we were to make a card and a gift for fathers day. With this I finished my 'work' early this year, since we in Norway celebrate Father's Day in November.

I've used an owl and a sentiment by Pink Cat Studio from SCACD, colored with Prismacolor pencils to make a card and a bookmark. The sentiment on the ribbon tag is by Aud Design. Added heart shaped buttons, ribbons and Kaisercraft Rhinestones. Made good use of my beloved Nestabilities dies too. I cut the letters using Tadpole Alpha by CuttleKids.

Try It Out Tuesday #21 ~ Pool Party!

A new Tuesday and a new challenge, a summery party invitation. I felt like throwing a pool party, so here's what I came up with. The cutie is Lily by Pink Cat Studio from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design colored with Prismacolor pencils. I made the ball from a circle die cut. The glittery flowers are Petaloo Dazzlers. The pink letters are Cuttlebug Harmony alphabet, and the stamped letters are magnetic stamp alphabet by Making Memories, Rummage.

Stampin' Out Alzheimer's * SCACD Sketch Challenge

Try It Out Tuesday #20 ~ Belle

Try It Out Tuesday today was to use watercolors on our images. I colored with Distress Inks. I got this gorgeous ballerina in the mail today, and I just had to use her on a card right away! It's the pretty Belle from Victoria Case for SCACD, Hearts and Hugs collection. The big flower is Prima's Dandies. I used a Nestabilitie die to cut the image out.

Stampin' Out Alzheimer's

There's a fabulous event that will be happening next week (May 25th thru the 31st) for Alzheimers. It's called Stampin' Out Alzheimer's, and will be a huge challenge and contest site all next week to raise money for research and funding for Alzheimers.

This week we were to use flowers on our cards for the DT challenge, like flowers in the image, on the papers and our embellishments. I picked an image with lots of flowers, it's called Tea for Two from Victoria Case for SCACD, Hearts and Hugs collection, fantastic new stamp designs, they are so much fun to work with!
The sentiment is also from SCACD, see them here: Susanaments. The flowers I've used on my card are from Susana's, (except the tiny yellow roses.) I had to put some Kaisercraft Rhinestones on my card, like I do on almost every card I make these days! ☺

Cute Card Thursday Challenge ~ Letters/Numbers

Here's my entry for the 60th challenge at the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog, we were to use letters or numbers on our cards.
I'm so thrilled about these beautiful new stamps from SCACD, the Hearts and Hugs Collection, I loved to use this cute stamp called Just Because on my card, colored with my Prismacolors. The green glittery flower is a new kind that comes with a rhinestone in the middle, they're called Petaloo Dazzlers, cute!
Here's a confession; I've grown addicted to the Kaisercraft Rhinestones, so I had to put some of them on my card...
I painted Shimmerz on the sweet fairy's wings and on the letters, but it doesn't show well on the pictures. I cut the letters using Tadpole Alpha by CuttleKids.

Don't you just love these little darlings? This image is called Nuts for You. Had to go with my favorite color combo, and I just love to color the eyes on the images I use on my cards, this cutie pie has got green eyes. I colored with Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is also brand new, it's one of ten and they are called Susanaments, they go very well with the images in this fabulous stamp collection.

To embellish my card I used flowers by Petaloo and Prima, heart shaped buttons, beaded pins, rhinestones, ribbon and Scrappers Floss. I cut the Susanament out with a QuicKutz cookie cutter die, and cut the image with a Nestabilitie die.

The challenge for us at Susana's DT this week was to make a card in any other shape than rectangle or square. I grabbed my drawing pen and made a fence and a tree and stamped cute Tiny Toby by Eat Cake Graphics from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design, colored with ProMarkers and Prismacolor. Added different QuicKutz die cuts, and tiny flowers with Kaisercraft Rhinestones. The sentiment is by Whipper Snapper Designs.

Dette er et kort som jeg har hatt inni hodet lenge. Jeg kjøpte disse klesklypene rett før jul, og ville bruke en som en slags gren til en ugle. Så fikk jeg meg dette søte uglestemplet fra The Greeting Farm, og endelig fikk jeg litt tid til å pusle kortet sammen. Har fargelagt med ProMarkers og Prismacolor. Blader er QuicKutz, har brukt diverse puncher, swirl fra BossKut, blomster fra Petaloo, Nestabilities dies, rhinestones, bånd, Scrapper's Floss.

This is a card I've had in my head for some time now. I bought these clothes pins just before Christmas, and pictured them as sort of a branch for an owl. (We don't use this kind of clothes pins in Norway, so I had to order them from the US.) Then I got my self this cute owl stamp from The Greeting Farm, and finally I had some time to puzzle the card together. I colored with ProMarkers and Prismacolors. Leaves are by QuicKutz, used various punches, swirl is by BossKut, flowers by Petaloo, Nestabilities dies, rhinestones, ribbons, Scrapper's Floss.

Try it out Tuesday #17 Mother's Day

Tuesday and a new DT challenge at SCACD, a gift set for Mother's Day.
I went out of my comfort zone on this one, usually I stick to the 6"x6" size, but I've been meaning to try to make an envelope card for some time now. I found this great tutorial at Bodil's blog, I just had to give it a try.
Along with the card I got a jar from IKEA, decorated it and filled it with jelly beans. Don't know if it would suit a mom, probably the kids bringing the jar would get to eat most of the beans...
I used the cute Polka Dot Butterfly by Lockhart Stamp Company from Susana's, colored with Pro Markers. Used Scrapper's Floss for antennas, and Glitter Dots in the center of the flowers.
Printed the sentiment from my computer, cut it out with Nestabilities dies.

Thinking of You

Finally a new card from me! I've been spending so much time at work lately, also this weekend, that my card making is suffering... Thanks to all of you great people stopping by my blog, even if the cards sometimes are few and far between.

On this card I inked up the lovely Julia by Rubber Romance from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design for the first time. She looks so relaxed and beautiful with her book and tea, don't you think? The sentiment is by Whipper Snapper. The Bella Baubles from Susana's are fabulous to use in the flower centers.
