First I'd like to give a big, warm hug to all of my visitors! So glad to have you stopping by, thanks a bunch!

Today I made a card with one of my favorite stamps, Holiday Penguin by Whipper Snapper Designs, he's just too cute!

When I was making this card I got to thinking; where would our card making hobby be without all the wonderful cutting devices that are available to us? On this card I used five different ones, QuicKutz leaves, Martha Stewart snowflake, Nellie Snellen flower, Cuttlebug border and Nestabilites label (cutting out the image), including my Fiskars paper cutter, it makes six.

When I look back at the cards I made in the beginning of my "card making career" - I like to think I have developed my skills, and of course I have, but without all these nice tools, my cards would have been pretty plain and dull, I think...

TIOT (Try It Out Tuesday) on a Friday! We were to make a card using the fab sketch provided by Suzanne, fun to do!
I used the cute Skater from the Victoria Case for SCACD - Winter Wonderland Collection, colored with Prismacolor pencils and cut out with Ne stabilities dies. The sentiment is by Whipper Snapper Designs, and the swirl stamp is by Stempelglede.

This is my second post for today - yes, I know, it's not 'normal' procedure for me! ☺

If you look closely on my card, you can see that I have played with my newest 'toys', floral punches with embossing 'punches' from Nellie Snellen. It's so much fun to see how the flowers turn out using these, it depends on the paper if they show a good embossing or not.

Tuesday is here with a new challenge for the SCACD DT! Today we were to use metal on our cards.
Today I chose the wonderful Santa and Friends stamp from the Victoria Case for SCACD - Winter Wonderland Collection, colored it with Prismacolor pencils, cut him out with Nestabilities dies. Found this velvet ribbon and golden buckle in my stash, and I think it suited the card very well. ☺ Pluss there are 7 brads and 3 metal snowflakes on my card, think I did pretty OK on the challenge...

TIOT # 40 ~ Table Time

The Try It Out Tuesday challenge for the SCACD's DT today is Table Time, to make something for the holiday table. I made a place setting card and a bottle tag.
I used two of the totally wonderful images from the Winter Wonderland Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD. Colored with Prismacolor pencils, and used Nestabilities dies to cut out different parts to create this small set.

I stamped snowflakes on the light blue matting, the beautiful snowflake stamps are part of the full set of the new stamps, they will not be available as single stamps. Winter Wonderland Release Blog Hop

I've been sooo looking forward to this release, now you all can get to see these fabulous stamps!
I just LOVE them, Victoria Case is one of my favorite stamp designers, and this time she's outdone herself!

Today we have a fun blog hop on the SCACD's DT blogs! We have made projects this time, not cards, so perhaps you'll get some nice ideas on what to make before the holidays. The starter point of our blog hop is at wonderful Susan's blog.

I'm a card maker, and when I am to do other kinds of paper crafting, I really don't come up with any genius ideas, so here's another version of a gift bag... Again I was inspired by my friend Elin, she's the best at making gift bags!

I've used the super cute BFF'S image (Best Friends Forever) from the Victoria Case for SCACD - Winter Wonderland Collection on my bag, colored with Prismacolor pencils. Cut her out with Nestabilities dies, and I think the Nestabilities Label 9 made a perfect handle to the bag! I've used the Poinsettia die by Boss Kut to make the flowers.

The Winter Wonderland stamps will be available in the shop tomorrow, Friday 16th, so get ready to shop, these stamps will be perfect for your holiday and winter cards!

Finally I found some time to play with one of these wonderful gals designed by Victoria Case for SCACD! This image is called 9 to 5 and is one of four lovely ladies in the Every Day Gals Collection.
I colored her with my Prismacolor pencils, and cut her out with a Nestabilities die.

A new fun sketch challenge at the Friday Sketchers blog, this week we've played with a wonderful sketch by our fabulous Beatrix.
I think the new stamps from The Special Edition Ornament Collection by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD is perfect for this sketch. I colored with my Prismacolor pencils as usual, and was happy to find yet another chance to use my Morocco lace punch, love it! The sentiment is by Whipper Snapper Designs.

TIOT # 39 ~ Forever Friends

First, sorry for being so late getting my card up on the blog today, I tried to finish it yesterday, but my hand is still in pain, so I had to put it aside last night and then finish it today...

Well, for today's Try It Out Tuesday at the SCACD's DT we were to use the new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD "The Special Edition Ornament Collection" stamps in a way that showcases their versatility. Fun challenge! I used two of the stamps, 3 French Hens and 2 Turtle Doves. (Yes, like in the carol!)
I colored them with my Prismacolor pencils and cut them out, left out one chicken and the doves, and put the cute girls together for a Friendship card. The sentiment is a Susanament from the the Hearts and Hugs collection.

Release of new stamps at SCACD today!

I'm so excited to show you one of the wonderful new images released by Susana at SCACD today!

Two mini stamp sets, one of them is designed by the fabulous Elisabeth Bell and called The Special Edition Ornament Collection. I've used this gorgeous stamp called Surprise on my card. She's so sweet with her lil' puppy, wonderful for both Christmas cards and birthday cards.
I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils, and cut it out with Nestabilities dies. Added a ribbon and a heart charm, a QuicKutz Poinsettia and some Kaisercraft Rhinestones.

The other mini stamp set that's released today is designed by the wonderful Victoria Case, and it's called Everyday Gals. Beautiful and fun girl images, I can't wait to start using them on my cards!

On both sets there are Susanaments (sentiments) to go along with the beautiful stamps, this really is a fab deal! And the ornament stamps are almost like two stamps in one, the 'ornament frame' can be masked off, then you'll have some cute girlie stamps to use for any occasion!
The stamp sets, and single stamps, will be available in the shop at 9AM PST (6AM EST), (3PM CET).

Time for a new sketch at the Friday Sketchers blog, this week's fabulous sketch is made by Jeanette. I had a great time using it for my card, I mirrored the sketch, just 'cause I felt like it.

I did a real good diggin' in my pile of stamps, and came up with this old Magnolia image, Emilia, one of the first stamps that ever came from that company. I like these old ones very much, small and cute. I colored Emilia with Prismacolor pencils, and the sentiment is computer generated.

TIOT # 37 ~ Lily, Tweety and a Snowman

Try It Out Tuesday with Flower Soft, yes, that's today's challenge for us at SCACD's DT.
A bit embarrasing to admit this, but it is the very first time I use Flower Soft! It was fun, and I'll do it more often from now on!

The cute image is from the Lily and Tweety sheet by Pink Cat Studio from SCACD. I colored with Prismacolor pencils first, and then put Polar White Flower Soft on the snowman. It sparkles, but I added a little bit more glitter.

The sentiment is by Catslife Press. Used Nestabilities dies to cut out both image and sentiment. I put on some snowflakes made with a Martha Stewart punch, and metal snowflakes and Kaisercraft pearls.

One is designed by Elisabeth Bell and the other is designed by Victoria Case, both sets are exclusive at SCACD, and there are even several sentiments along with the images! I can tell you that these new images are wonderful and unique!
