Welcome! ~ Velkommen!
Here, in my little corner of bloglandia, is my blog about my crafts. Until recentley I've blogged about my card making. Now, in 2011, I'll try to do different things also, such as sewing (patchwork), knitting, crochet, baking, along with some card making...

Sugar Bowl # 16 ~ Gorjuss

This is the first time I enter a card in the Sugar Bowl challenge, and what a great sketch we got to work with! I'm kind of challenged in using several layers of paper on my cards, so it helps a lot to have a sketch like this one to follow.

I've used one of the Gorjuss girls, Bumble Bee, she's just too cute! Colored her with my Prismacolor pencils, cut her out with a Nestabilities die. The flower is a Mulberry Wild Rose, added some Kaisercraft pearls too. The sentiment is by Whipper Snapper Designs.

I have to say a few words about the fabulous paper pads from BasicGrey. There are so many wonderful papers, the size (6"x6") is perfect for card makers, and there's soon to come even more new pads! On this card I used several papers from the Granola pad.

Now I hope you all will have a wonderful weekend! Smiley from millan.net

The last day for this sketch over at Friday Sketchers, I really liked this one, so here's my card.
I used the very cute Dolly from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, colored with Prismacolor pencils, added the flowers, ribbon, a punched butterfly, used my new leaf punch, and added some Kaisercraft Rhinestones.

I'd like to say a big thank you to all the kind comments I get on my cards, really appreciate them! Smiley from millan.net

TIOT #29 ~ Gift bag & Nugget Purses

The TIOT challenge for SCACD's DT this week is to make a gift of any kind, so I decided to make some nice wrapping for one of the best gifts of all: chocolate! Smiley from millan.net

I used the super cute Rian from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD on my bag, colored her with Prismacolor pencils. On the other side of the bag I used a circle sentiment from Aud Design. I put stickles on the butterfly, the rose and on the brads on the nugget purses. Added some Kaisercraft Rhinestones too.

I got inspired by my friend Elin, she has made lots of different gift bags and also these cute nugget purses, and I've wanted to make these my self for quite some time now. Here's the link to a video tutorial: Nugget purses. I've made mine a little bit larger to fit the nuggets.

Here's a link to a tutorial on the gift bag, it's in Norwegian, you can follow the pictures, and I've made a template with inches for you here, just click to enlarge.

These chocolates are veeery good, they were here earlier today on the photo shoot - now they're all gone! Strange... Smiley from millan.net

Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #61

A card for the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge blog, this week we are to use swirls on our cards. I used a chip board swirl on mine, it was originally black, I could not find any white paint so I put several layers of white embossing powder on it.

The super cute image is Susan by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, colored with Prismacolor pencils. Used my new Spellbinder die to cut the frame, added a Prima flower and some small mulberry roses and rosebuds.

I layered both the image and the background paper inside the frame on chip boards, I liked the chunky feel to it!

The DT challenge on SCACD this week is to make a Thank You card using one of the new stamps by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. I used the wonderful fairy Danni, colored her with Prismacolor pencils and put some red stickles on her wings. Other things I've used are flowers, punches, pearls, Scrapper's Floss, ribbon, charm, Swarcovski Crystal, Nestabilities dies and a sentiment by Purple Onion Designs.

Spunkette

Meet the lovely Spunkette, another beautiful stamp by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.
I colored her with Prismacolor pencils. Cut her out with Nestabilities dies, put some stickles on her elegant wings, decorated with Prima's flowers, butterflies and Kaisercraft Rhinestones. The swirl stamp is by Stempelglede.

I felt that this wonderful fairy would like to go outside to take the pictures, so out we went! Smiley from millan.net
