Release of new stamps at SCACD today!

I'm so excited to show you one of the wonderful new images released by Susana at SCACD today!

Two mini stamp sets, one of them is designed by the fabulous Elisabeth Bell and called The Special Edition Ornament Collection. I've used this gorgeous stamp called Surprise on my card. She's so sweet with her lil' puppy, wonderful for both Christmas cards and birthday cards.
I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils, and cut it out with Nestabilities dies. Added a ribbon and a heart charm, a QuicKutz Poinsettia and some Kaisercraft Rhinestones.

The other mini stamp set that's released today is designed by the wonderful Victoria Case, and it's called Everyday Gals. Beautiful and fun girl images, I can't wait to start using them on my cards!

On both sets there are Susanaments (sentiments) to go along with the beautiful stamps, this really is a fab deal! And the ornament stamps are almost like two stamps in one, the 'ornament frame' can be masked off, then you'll have some cute girlie stamps to use for any occasion!
The stamp sets, and single stamps, will be available in the shop at 9AM PST (6AM EST), (3PM CET).

Friday Sketchers # 71 ~ Old Magnolia

Time for a new sketch at the Friday Sketchers blog, this week's fabulous sketch is made by Jeanette. I had a great time using it for my card, I mirrored the sketch, just 'cause I felt like it.

I did a real good diggin' in my pile of stamps, and came up with this old Magnolia image, Emilia, one of the first stamps that ever came from that company. I like these old ones very much, small and cute. I colored Emilia with Prismacolor pencils, and the sentiment is computer generated.

TIOT # 37 ~ Lily, Tweety and a Snowman

Try It Out Tuesday with Flower Soft, yes, that's today's challenge for us at SCACD's DT.
A bit embarrasing to admit this, but it is the very first time I use Flower Soft! It was fun, and I'll do it more often from now on!

The cute image is from the Lily and Tweety sheet by Pink Cat Studio from SCACD. I colored with Prismacolor pencils first, and then put Polar White Flower Soft on the snowman. It sparkles, but I added a little bit more glitter.

The sentiment is by Catslife Press. Used Nestabilities dies to cut out both image and sentiment. I put on some snowflakes made with a Martha Stewart punch, and metal snowflakes and Kaisercraft pearls.

Get ready for some fabulous new stamps at SCACD!

Next week, on the 29th of September Susana at SCACD will release not just one - but TWO new mini stamp sets!

One is designed by Elisabeth Bell and the other is designed by Victoria Case, both sets are exclusive at SCACD, and there are even several sentiments along with the images! I can tell you that these new images are wonderful and unique!

There will be sneak peeks and great blog candy at the store blog Follow Your Heart during the weekend (26th -28th), so make sure you stop by to take part!

It's Friday and a new fabulous sketch over at the Friday Sketchers blog, today it's the talented Jacque's sketch we've played with!
I'm not quite ready to let go of the summer just yet, so I made a card with a cute Hope & Grace image from The Greeting Farm, Hawaiian style, and masked in a palm tree by Magnolia.

I colored as usual with my darling Prismacolor pencils, and got to use two new punches of mine, Hydrangea flower by MS, and Morocco Lace by EK Success, they're fab!

TIOT # 36 ~ Triangular Tri-fold

A new lovely Tuesday, and a new lovely TIOT challenge for the SCACD DT! Suzanne asked us to make a triangular tri-fold card using this tutorial: Triangular Tri-fold. Very fun to make!

I just had to pull out my Aud stamp again, I think it's so cool to have such a pretty stamp named after me! It's from the Hearts and Hugs Collection Series #2 by Victoria Case for SCACD.
I colored 'me' with Prismacolor pencils, made the card base following the instructions, but not quite. I made a small change in the size, in stead of 3 1/2" x 10 1/2", I made mine 4" x 12". Then the card front was big enough to fit my image, and with this size, you can get three cards from one 12 x 12" cs. Added some punched flowers and leaves, and Kaisercraft pearls. And a ribbon of course.

Friday Sketchers # 69 ~ My First DT Card!

My first card as a DT member for the Friday Sketchers blog!
I feel a bit nervous since it's my first time taking part on 'the other side' of the sketch challenge, to be showing a sample card.

TIOT # 35 ~ Sweet Susy

Today we're having a sketch challenge at the SCACD's DT, a wonderful sketch made by Suzanne.
I used cute Susy from the Hearts and Hugs Collection Series #2 by Victoria Case for SCACD, colored her with prismacolor pencils, and cut her out with my beloved Nestabilities dies. Don't understand how I got by without the Nesties before they came on the market! Other indispensable stuff are the Kaisercraft pearls that I used in the Petaloo Dazzlers flower centers.
A thing I can live without is the good ole' paper crimper, but it was fun diggin' it out and use it in the making of this card! The sentiment is by Hero Arts.
