Welcome! ~ Velkommen!
Here, in my little corner of bloglandia, is my blog about my crafts. Until recentley I've blogged about my card making. Now, in 2011, I'll try to do different things also, such as sewing (patchwork), knitting, crochet, baking, along with some card making...

Friday Sketchers # 110 ~ Sunshine

I've made a new DT card for the Friday Sketchers blog, this week lovely Jacque made a fabulous sketch!

I've used a cute stamp by Lili of the Valley, Deckchair Dreaming it's called. I felt like keeping the card kind of simple, actually I like it when there's not too much on a card from time to time.

Take a look at the wonderful cards made by my DT sisters over at the Friday Sketchers blog, hope you'll find inspiration to make a card and take part in the challenge, there's a great prize to win sponsored by Motivet.

CAS ~ Kraft paper ~ Faux Stitching

Made a card to fit the CAS-tastic challenge blog, this week the challenge is to use kraft paper, and of course - it's to be a CAS (clean and simple) card. This card also fits the DT challenge over at the SCACD store blog, Follow Your Heart, where we were to either make a quilt, use real or faux stitching on our card.

I used the sweet image called Flower Power from the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler Edition #5, colored with Prismas. For my faux stitching I pulled out my Tim Holtz Idea-ology ruler, it got holes to make even piercing of paper - great thing to have at hand!
The beautiful rose is a Prima Cameo one. If you look closely you'll see that I even used Flower Soft on my image today - yes, I kind of shocked my self there! *LOL* Keep forgetting that I have this awsome stuff in my drawer, looks really good on cards! Sentiment is by Catslife Press. I've used a small piece of patterned paper from a Kaisecraft pad, Hey Birdie, so pretty papers!

You can join us in the sketch challenge and link your card on the company blog Follow Your Heart. This first week of the month you can win a stamp from SCACD! Also take a look at the beautiful cards made by my DT sisters for inspiration!

Also check out the new mermaid stamps by Kraftin' Kimmie in Susana's shop, they are so fun and fabulous!

Make sure you check out the SCACD store blog, Follow Your Heart, on Monday - there will be som new, fun exciting things to see!

Blog Candy ~ Butterfly Punch!

Hi! I discovered a lovely butterfly on someone's card the other day, and just had to have that punch! It's called Xcut Butterfly Dimension Punch XCU2701000. I found it in England, here at Crafty Devils Ltd. I was so happy when I found it, that I ordered one extra, so I could share it with you in a blog candy!
All you have to do is to add your link with Mr. Linky, I'm happy if you wish to spread the word, but that's for you to decide. If you do not have a blog, just use the URL to my blog to enter, but then remember to check back to see if you win!
I close the candy two weeks from now, on July 16th at 10PM CET.

Best of luck to you all!
Smiley from millan.net

I will be away on a trip this weekend - got no internet where I'm going, so I will have to wait till Sunday evening, when I get back, to choose the winner.

The punch cuts these pop-up butterflies, you just cut them loose with scissors.

TIOT #74 and Stamp Something Challenge

OK, finally a new card to post. Life's so hectic in the summer time when school's out, there are people around all the time, so my card making opportunities are very few and far between...

This card is made using a lovely sketch made by the talented leader of the SCACD DT, Suzanne. I've entered the card to this week's challenge over at the Stamp Something blog, 'something vintage with flowers' is the theme.

This sweet image is called Go Green, one of the new fabulous stamps from the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler Edition #5, colored with Prismas. I got to use my newest border punch to make the wavy ends of the card opening. I've also used lots of dies from Spellbinders, love them all - what would life be with out them? Other indispensable things are the Prima roses and the Kaisercraft pearls! *LOL* And papers, I love my 6x6 pads! Here I've used Basic Grey and 7 Gypsies.
I made the largest rose following the brilliant tutorial made by my sweet DT sister Carolyn, well, I tried to make a rose I should say! *LOL* Click → HERE← to see her paper rose tutorial.

You can join us in the sketch challenge and link your card on the company blog Follow Your Heart. Also take a look at the beautiful cards made by my DT sisters for inspiration!

Susana at SCACD has got a wonderful spot in her shop for the ones like me, who just love 6"x6" paper pads!
She gets hold of the newest, hottest and most wonderful paper pads again, and again, and again. Now you can get the Oliver and Olivia pads by BasicGrey, and new Websters Pages, click →HERE← to see them all.
Now there are new Lockhart stamps to find in the shop also!

Friday Sketchers # 108 ~ Gone Fishing!

I'm a day late with this post, but since I had a blog hop posted yesterday, it seemed best to wait until today to show this card on my blog.

This week at Friday Sketchers it's my turn to be the host, and I've made a sketch for our participants to use.

I've used one of the new fabulous images designed by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, it's called Gone Fishing. They were released yesterday, you should take a look, beautiful stamps, great variety.
I colored this handsom guy with my Prismas. Got to use my brand new Fiskars border punch also, love these waves! The fab circle sentiment is by Catslife Press.

♥ ♥ ♥

I think this kitty charm fitted nicely with this great image.

Take a look at the wonderful cards made by my DT sisters over at the Friday Sketchers blog, hope you'll find inspiration to make a card and take part in the challenge, there's a great prize to win sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.

Here's my sketch, as you may see, I rotated it to fit my card idea this time. Smiley from millan.net

Dear Friend

Made a clean and simple card, I really like CAS cards, it's just a bit hard to stop embellishing in time... *LOL*
This is Flower Girl by Pure Innocence from My Favorite Things. So cute! Colored with Prismas. The sentiment is in Norwegian and says Dear friend, it's from my own line of stamps, Aud Design. The ants are by Magnolia.
