Friday Sketchers # 130 ~ Skatin' Friends

Hi friends! Another week flown by! I tell you, life's pretty hectic this time of year, not much time to make cards... But here's one I managed to finish today, using the wonderful sketch made by sweet Jeanette over at the Friday Sketchers blog. It's really great for those larger stamps, so if you have some unused large images, now is the time to bring them out!

I used these cute bears from Craft UK on my card, I really like to color bears! They get so soft and cuddly looking with Prismacolor pencils. Added some chunky felt snowflakes, rhinestones and pearls, and we're ready to go skating!

SCACD closed a copuple of days

The SCACD store will be closed from noon the 24th until November 26th (California Time). Re-opening on the 27th with some fun sales.

While the store is closed feel free to browse around (who knows a New item may pop up) though you will not be able to place items in your shopping cart until the 27th.

Friday Sketchers # 129 ~ Snowy Birthday

Hi friends! First I'd like to say a big thank you all for visiting my blog, and an extra hug to those of you who spend some of your precious time writing a comment, I really appreciate it! I'm not doing too good with leaving comments on blogs I visit, there's just so little time...

At Friday Sketchers this week it's our wonderful Janneke's great sketch we're playing with!
On my card I used the beauitful image called Sow Fun by Victoria Case for SCACD - Winter Hearts & Hugs set, released at SCACD earlier this week. Colored with Prismacolor pencils.

I apologize for the bad lighting of the photos, indoor light is not the best, I know, but it's a dark winter morning outside, still some time before daylight comes on my porch...


The flowers are made with the rolled flower die from My Favorite Things, and yes, it's a new favorite of mine! Love how these flowers turn out!

New Elisabeth Bell from SCACD

I've seen some nice cards around, stamping and coloring on kraft paper using colored pencils. I wanted to try it too, and here's my first attempt. I like how it kind of pops up from the paper.

Thhis sweet girl is one of the new stamps released yesterday at SCACD. It's called First Snowball of Winter from the Mini Winter Sampler by Elisabeth Bell.

I added some snowflakes (MS punch), ribbon, a tan Prima Hydrangea, a rose, some KaiserCraft Rhinestones, and of course some beautiful Stardust Stickles.

SCACD Stamp Release! Elisabeth Bell & Victoria Case

Dear friends! Today we, the SCACD DT, have a wonderful surprise for you, a double sets stamp release! Elisabeth Bell and Victoria Case have designed totally gorgeous new winter images, you'll love them just as much as we do!

I colored this sweetheart with my Prismacolor pencils, cut her out with Nestabilities. The sentiment is from a Pink Cat Studio sheet, Lily & Tweety - NB! All the Pink Cat Studio stamps are now on sale over at SCACD.
The snowflake stamps are from the Winter Wonderland stamp set.

I used this sweet baby stamp and sentiment by Panduro. And for the first time I tried my rolled flower die from My Favorite Things, I love how it turned out - and so easy to do!

Cute and Simple

These days I do not have the great mojo to create cards that I usually have, "the urge" comes and goes, that's just how I am...
I've had this cute, colored image lying on my table for a while, and here's how it turned out. Pretty simple, I like the shape of this Spellbinder Nestabilitie die, and used it also for the card base. The sweet image is Savanah & Smiles by Pixie Cottage, it's quite large, app. 3.75 x 2.25 inches, colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Friday Sketchers # 127 ~ A Winter Walk

Hi dear friends! Wow, how time flies - Friday again, and I haven't been bloggin' for a week! Life's too hectic sometimes, and the mojo goes awol from time to time...

Today we have a fun and wonderful sketch at the Friday Sketchers blog, made by my friend Inge. The sketch looks a bit hard at first glance, but it was really nice to work with. And note; you're hearing it from the "one-layer-girl"! *LOL*

On my card today I've used one of the gorgeous new stamps designed by Carmen Medlin for SCACD, it's called Winter Walk. I colored with my Prismacolor pencils, the circle tag is by CatsLife Press.
