TIOT #74 and Stamp Something Challenge

OK, finally a new card to post. Life's so hectic in the summer time when school's out, there are people around all the time, so my card making opportunities are very few and far between...

This card is made using a lovely sketch made by the talented leader of the SCACD DT, Suzanne. I've entered the card to this week's challenge over at the Stamp Something blog, 'something vintage with flowers' is the theme.

This sweet image is called Go Green, one of the new fabulous stamps from the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler Edition #5, colored with Prismas. I got to use my newest border punch to make the wavy ends of the card opening. I've also used lots of dies from Spellbinders, love them all - what would life be with out them? Other indispensable things are the Prima roses and the Kaisercraft pearls! *LOL* And papers, I love my 6x6 pads! Here I've used Basic Grey and 7 Gypsies.
I made the largest rose following the brilliant tutorial made by my sweet DT sister Carolyn, well, I tried to make a rose I should say! *LOL* Click → HERE← to see her paper rose tutorial.

Friday Sketchers # 108 ~ Gone Fishing!

I'm a day late with this post, but since I had a blog hop posted yesterday, it seemed best to wait until today to show this card on my blog.

This week at Friday Sketchers it's my turn to be the host, and I've made a sketch for our participants to use.

I've used one of the new fabulous images designed by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, it's called Gone Fishing. They were released yesterday, you should take a look, beautiful stamps, great variety.
I colored this handsom guy with my Prismas. Got to use my brand new Fiskars border punch also, love these waves! The fab circle sentiment is by Catslife Press.

Elisabeth Bell Release Blog Hop!

On my card I've used the fabulous and fun image called Howdy by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler Edition # 5, colored with my Prismas. I tried to make some wagon wheels, "western style" using QuicKutz dies. Not quite sure I managed to make them resemble the real thing, but it was fun to do!
The nice Prima Hyrangea flowers are from SCACD, just love that the come in various sizes!

Dear Friend

Made a clean and simple card, I really like CAS cards, it's just a bit hard to stop embellishing in time... *LOL*
This is Flower Girl by Pure Innocence from My Favorite Things. So cute! Colored with Prismas. The sentiment is in Norwegian and says Dear friend, it's from my own line of stamps, Aud Design. The ants are by Magnolia.

Friday Sketchers # 106 ~ Bon Voyage!

A new Friday has arrived, and we're having a new challenge for you over at the Friday Sketchers blog! This week we have a super sketch made by sweet Beatrix.
I've used a wonderful image which is called Safe Travels and it's one of the new ones from the Hearts and Hugs - Summer Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD. I colored with my Prismas.
I've used some gorgeous 6x6 papers by 7 Gypsies from SCACD, the sentiment is computer generated (Papyrus font).

I really enjoyed using this sweet travelling girl on my card, I got to use my Paris/France postal stamp, and an Eiffel tower charm which has been in my stash for many years, just waiting to get out and embellish a card...
Also think the tiny Fleur de Lis on the background paper suited well.

TIOT # 71 ~ A Bookmark for Father's Day

Today's Try It Out Tuesday at SCACD's blog is to create something for Father's Day.
I made a bookmark. Used these to flying little boys by Eat Cake Graphics from SCACD. Casey and Stuart look like they're haveing so much fun it their cardboard planes! I put them on opposite sides of the bookmark. Colored them with Prismas, and I made some "clouded paper" with Distress ink, and used a punch and Nestabilities to cut.

Here we are with a new wonderful Friday and a new sketch, Janneke made a fabulous one for us over at the Friday Sketchers blog.
